April Project-1

Here's some more design inspiration for the Cuttlebug Blog. Our theme for April is Flower Power, and of course I love flowers! Here's what I came up with using the Swiss Dots and Victoria folders. The paper I used was K&Company, Que Sera Sera.
I used the Swiss Dots on the white letters and the small red flower, and the Victoria folder on the orange and purple flowers. This time I chose not to sand the surface...the effect is more subtle, but still so pretty! Check out the other design team inspirations over at the blog....you can click the CBB button on the left, thanks for looking :)

April's Challenge

April's challenge over at the Cuttlebug Blog is Flower Power. They are giving away the most beautiful paper "Kioshi" from Basic Grey along with glazed brads, Flower soft, and these cute little border embossing folders "Pop Culture" from Cuttlebug! This is my take on the challenge, although after seeing the giveaway, I wish I had used lighter, spring colors! Oh well, I do love brown...it is my favorite color:)

RECIPE: Cuttlebug embossing folder=Pop Culture/ Cuttlebug die=Flowers/ cardstock= So Saffron (SU!) & Cool Mint (Coredinations)/ patterned paper= Paisley & Petals (SEI)/ stamp= bloom (SU!)/ ribbon= SU!.

TECHNIQUE: I embossed the Coredinations paper, then sanded until enough blue came through. I cut out the flowers and curled them to stand away from the paper.

Hop over to the blog by clicking on the CBB button to the left and check it out!
